Janis Barlow, a middle-aged hairdresser with a lifetime of disappointments and bad relationships, has found escape through her love of former olympic swimmer Sharron Davies. In a loveless marriage Janis has finally decided she needs a change. She’s going to get herself fit and in a surprising way.

This touching one woman show, written  and performed by Lesley Emery, carries shades of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, with its eccentric central character and quirky northern charm.
