London. The 1790s.Europe has been turned upside down by the French Revolution. Plots and conspiracies are edging England into a disastrous war with France. Undercover is a gang of revolutionary ‘terrorists’ and they have a diabolical machine:The Air Loom.
The Air Loom works by animal magnetism sending invisible rays to control minds. And the only man who knows is James Tilley Matthews, a tea merchant from Wales.
A writer interprets a tale and then hands over the words to the musicians and the words become part of the sounds and the music. The Inhabited Sky filters, loops delays and distorts the words building a compelling soundscape to mirror the paranoia and fear of 1790’s England.
The Inhabited Sky are Steve Escott, Les Hayden, Jim Tetlow & Steve Carrol who create a performance varying from ambient to driving space rock. The writer for this project is Alison Dunne.
