The Same Faces are one of the midlands leading improvised comedy groups, and are based here in Leicester. The team features regular members Tom Young, Allan Smith, and Dave Gotheridge, with a vast roster of guest players from which to complete each show’s line up.
In an Armando, a single word, taken from the audience, inspires a monologist to tell us something about their life, based on that suggestion. This monologue, in turn, becomes the basis for three different scenes from the improv players. A single word can produce three different worlds in a matter of minutes!
Using the Armando structure, each month we’ll have a comedian, storyteller, poet, or person of interest along to tell stories from their lives, to inspire our players to create brilliant, entirely improvised scenes, before your very eyes!
Our Aunty Mandy this month is Stella Graham who writes and presents comedy for TV and radio. She stomped on stage for the first time in New Zealand in 2008 and returned to the UK in 2012. In 2017, Stella will be at the Brighton Fringe with her new show Rage Against the Unclean. She was nominated Best Newcomer at the 2009 New Zealand Comedy Guild Awards.

Fun and original... everything a good comedian should be: self-assured, likeable and, crucially, funny
