In an improvised Armando, a single word taken from the audience inspires the headline comedian to tell us something about their life. This monologue becomes the basis for three different sketches from our resident improv players The Same Faces. Repeat 8-10 times in a night and you have an unpredictable, but always hilarious evening of improvised comedy.
The Same Faces are one of the midland’s leading improvised comedy groups based here in Leicester. The team features regular members Dave Gotheridge, Hannah Platts, Ki Shah, Mark Vigil, Pippa Hastings and Tom Young, with guest players each month to complete the line up. Our Uncle Armando this month is:–
Adele Cliff – Stand-up comedian who already has two Edinburgh Fringe Festivals under her belt. She has recently returned from three months in the States where she trained in improv and comedy writing at the world renowned Second City Training Centre in Chicago and gigged extensively in Chicago and New York City.
ADVISORY: Improvised comedy by it’s very nature is unpredictable and we cannot provide precise warnings. But content of this show is generally lighthearted, with occasional swearing and sexual references.
Veg’An Love Pop-Up Kitchen: Delicious pies and pizza available from 6.00pm onwards. Pre-order with your tickets or pay on the night (Info).
One of the Uncle Armando shows I went to was good. The rest were bloody brilliant
