In an improvised Armando, a single word taken from the audience inspires the headline comedian to tell us something about their life. This monologue becomes the basis for three different sketches from our resident improv players The Same Faces. Repeat 8-10 times in a night and you have an unpredictable, but always hilarious evening of improvised comedy.
The Same Faces are one of the midland’s leading improvised comedy groups based here in Leicester. The team features regular members Tom Young, Allan Smith, Dave Gotheridge, Ki Shah and Mark Vigil, with guest players each month to complete the line up. Our Uncle Armando this month is:–
Rob Kemp – Twisted genius behind the award winning show The Elvis Dead and one of the most creative and original voices in comedy (@RobotKemp).
ADVISORY: Improvised comedy by it’s very nature is unpredictable and we cannot provide precise warnings. But the content of this show is generally lighthearted, with occasional swearing and sexual references.
Only one of the Uncle Armando shows I have been to was good. The rest were bloody brilliant.
